What a joy it was to photograph this vibrant festival-inspired wedding in Stroud, in Gloucestershire in the Cotswolds! The bride looked breathtaking in a glittering gold sequin dress, topped with a ribbon-trimmed flower crown. Their humanist ceremony took place outdoors in a peaceful garden adorned with colourful bunting, a disco ball, and Tibetan and festival flags.
The heartfelt service was led by a celebrant who was also a close family friend, while guests offered their well wishes from cosy hay-bale seating. Afterwards, everyone enjoyed a stunning, plant-based wedding breakfast by The Wild Pear catering inside a rustic marquee decorated with DIY touches and exquisite bespoke crockery handmade by the bride herself.
We were lucky to have a spectacular sunset for the couple’s portraits before the evening disco kicked off. The bride and groom had asked me to capture their day naturally and candidly—the fun, the joy, and the wonderful atmosphere—and it was truly a pleasure to do so!
