I love outdoor photo sessions but with the weather taking a turn for the worse I created a pop up studio for my Christmas theme photo shoot last week. It was lovely to meet some new people and a few returning customers, and I am looking forward to sharing some more of my favourite photos soon. Here is one of the cuties who came to the Christmas photo shoot.
I have been really busy this autumn with family and children photo sessions. As well as photography I have been working with other photographers on creating costumes for their themed photo sessions. With my background in fashion design I love designing costumes and I was very excited when I received a sketch for this dress. I was really looking forward to making it, and had some unusual photo session ideas to try with the dress. Unfortunately time is very tight these days, and days are short , so these shots taken locally was all I could fit in before sending this dress to my client.
I am very pleased that three of my images were awarded a “Bronze bar” by The Guild of Photographers’ judges in their monthly competition. The Bronze Bar is given to “Images of a strong standard at a professional level”. My winning images were from an engagement, child portrait and bridal sessions taken in Gloucestershire.
I was happy to return to Westonbirt Arboretum in Gloucestershire to capture two beautiful children in a riot of autumn colour. It rained shortly after we arrived and I was worried that our photo session would be ruined but sun came out and reflected in water droplets on the leaves to make it even more beautiful than before.
Emily and Roger invited me to their pretty cottage in the Cotswolds for some family and baby photos. We had a lovely and relaxed photo shoot and I really enjoyed meeting them and their gorgeous new baby Freddie. Here are just some of my favourite photos.

Emily and James got married in Florida a few weeks ago and wanted to do a photo shoot when they got back to England. Unfortunately it rained on the day we were planning the shoot (just as it rained on their wedding day in Florida!) and we had to cancel it. Eventually Emily and I managed to meet up for some autumn bridal portraits, doesn’t she look gorgeous?

I enjoyed this recent family session set in the beautiful Gloucestershire countryside. We went for a walk and chatted while I was taking photos of children doing what they wanted to do and being themselves – running around, giggling, looking for bugs and snails. It was a fun and relaxed photo shoot and I came back with lots of photos, here are just some of them
The minute I saw these wooden frame windows with lots of character I knew I wanted to use them for a moody autumn shot. I’ve been playing around with photo edits and after trying some fifty shades of grey black &white I am still not sure which one works best. The first one is my favourite at the moment, but I think it is a matter of taste.
